We go to the "yolk" is the common short form in
Lottstetten, if you are less informal, but all the more high-class
Would like to eat, or just to socialize.
Our traditional family business is already in the fourth generation of the Dotter family, and goes back to 1897, since the railway line in Lottstetten was established.
The first owner and innkeeper was Alfons Dotter, followed by Joseph Dotter
handed over the business to his son Rolf in 1964.
Hans-Peter Dotter took over the restaurant in 1992 and has gained the trust of a large clientele, not least among local associations and guests from Switzerland, who have been coming to the restaurant "Zum Bahnhof" in Lottstetten for many years.
During this time the company was renovated or added on again and again (bowling alley), so
also in 1992 when the decision was made to rebuild a hall and kitchen.
Hans-Peter Dotter completed his apprenticeship as a chef in the "Hotel Bercher" in Waldshut-Tiengen. He then expanded his professional knowledge in renowned establishments in various places such as the "Restaurant Sternen" in Flaach, "Schlössli-Wörth" in Neuhausen am Rheinfall, Laufen Castle in Dachsen, Agnes-Amberg in Zurich, "Neues Posthotel" in St. Moritz, "Alexandra" and "Arve-Central" in Arosa.
He then completed his training as a chef in the hotel
and restaurant school in Villingen-Schwenningen, which he successfully passed.
Corina Dotter completed her training as a restaurant specialist
in the Hotel Schwalbennest in houses in the Black Forest.
She then expanded her knowledge in various hotels, such as the Hotel Nägele in Höchenschwand, Restaurant Mettmatal in Grafenhausen, Restaurant Kreutz in Weizen, Dom-Hotel in St.Blasien, Hotel Haringerhof in Grafenhausen and the Schwarzwälderhof in Altglashütten.
Topic "Restaurant to the train station"
This house on which we stand is chosen by the client
to refresh weary wanderers, to make thirsty souls happy
by a noble, cool wetness, freshly drawn from the barrel.
Some love the grape juice, some draw the power
rather from the cold beer, but a good schnapps is here
for particularly noble throats certainly never lacking.
So this new building is dedicated to hospitality,
and we wish the landlord the best beer far and wide.
Also, don't forget that he always has something good to eat.
Always be this house full of guests! Happy hours, happy celebrations
should often please guests here in the colorful row of the house.
And when we sit in here later after exertion and sweating,
the landlord shouldn't forget us from the building over drinks and food!
The inn is under God's protection, it offers defiance to all weather,
no fire should ever destroy it, no mishap should harm it,
what I built with art and diligence, what our eyes proudly see here.
This inn is supposed to thrive, that's where I'll drink this wine now.
